Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty, commonly known as a "tummy tuck," is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the abdominal area, and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. About this
Service

The extent of a tummy tuck or Abdominoplasty procedure depends on the amount of fat that needs to be removed and the patient’s preferences. This also determines the length of the final scar. Tummy tuck may be necessary to treat conditions such as hernias or to remove loose skin after significant weight loss. The surgery involves removing excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen and tightening the abdominal muscles. The final scar from surgery lies across the lower abdomen and is usually well hidden in the underwear. There is also a small scar around the belly button. Rarely, there may be an additional vertical scar as well. People with loose or saggy skin in the abdomen benefit from a tummy tuck. The decision is individualised and takes into account skin laxity and fat distribution. Liposuction can also be added adjunct with a tummy tuck.

Vaser

VASER stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance. It is a form of ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) technology used in cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures. VASER liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure that targets and removes excess fat deposits from specific areas of the body. During VASER liposuction, Professor Hindocha makes small incisions in the targeted area and inserts a probe that emits ultrasound waves. These ultrasonic waves specifically target and break down the fat cells while leaving other tissues, such as blood vessels and nerves, largely unaffected. The liquefied fat is then suctioned out through a cannula, resulting in a smoother contour and improved body shape.
