Cosmetic surgery is a special branch of medicine that focuses on altering a person’s physical appearance for aesthetic and sometimes medical purposes. Specialised techniques from surgery and medicine are used to accomplish this. All parts of the body including the head and neck can undergo cosmetic surgery. It could entail reshaping the body’s contour and form, breast enhancement, reducing wrinkles, or removing bald spots. One can pick from a variety of cosmetic surgery operations to create an image that increases self-assurance and comfort with their physical appearance.
Procedures carried out to improve the look of the breasts are referred to as cosmetic breast surgery. Cosmetic breast surgery is chosen by women (and occasionally males) for a variety of reasons, such as to improve the look, size, symmetry, firmness, or form of their breasts, or to restore their breasts following mastectomy or other treatments.
Procedures that are performed to enhance or reshape various areas of the body, including the abdomen, private parts, legs, and arms. These procedures are typically elective and are mostly done for aesthetic reasons.
A group of procedures performed to enhance the appearance of the face and neck. These surgeries can improve the appearance of wrinkles, sagging skin, and other signs of ageing, as well as address structural imbalances and asymmetries in the face and neck. The goal of these procedures is to restore a more youthful and harmonious appearance to the face and neck.
Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure that removes excess fat from specific areas of the body. The procedure is commonly performed on the abdomen, hips, thighs, and arms to contour the body and improve body shape.
Cosmetic surgeries for men may include gynecomastia correction (male breast reduction) or pectoral implants. The goal of these procedures is to enhance the appearance and boost self-confidence. The procedures and recovery process may vary depending on the specific procedure and individual needs and preferences.
Reconstructive surgery is a treatment that restores your body after an illness, trauma, disease, tumour, infection, or developmental abnormality. It improves your comfort and confidence while returning body parts to their original appearance and function. In reconstructive surgery, tissue from one part of your body is frequently used to fix another. The primary goal is to normalise the body’s function or that of a particular bodily component. Mr. Sandip Hindocha makes every effort to lessen both the impact of the surgery itself and the visible impact of the initial deformity. Reconstructive surgery is performed on patients of all ages, from newborns to the very elderly, and it is performed on all parts of the body.
Repair and reconstruction of lost or damaged skin and tissue are accomplished through skin plastic surgery. Skin surgery’s primary goal is to as closely mimic the natural function and appearance of tissue and skin as much as possible. Sometimes this may mean removing scars or reconstructing defects after skin cancer removal, and at other times it may be removing tattoos.
Reconstructive hand surgery tries to give the hand and fingers their natural range of motion. The hand is rebalanced largely for normal operational use. The treatment of patients with hand injuries, degenerative diseases, and congenital deformities has dramatically advanced in recent years. Reconstructive hand surgery is performed to repair damage to the hand’s bones, blood vessels, nerves, and tendons. A damaged joint is replaced with an artificial joint composed of silicone rubber, metal, plastic, or even your own bodily tissue, like a tendon. In other cases, hand operations are carried out to treat damage to the hands due to skin injuries such as burns, cuts, and other wounds.
Non-surgical cosmetic procedures are cosmetic treatments that do not involve surgery and can be performed without incisions, general anaesthesia or a hospital stay. They are minimally invasive and are designed to enhance a person’s appearance and improve certain physical features without the need for surgery. These procedures could include botox injections, dermal fillers, lasers, chemical peels, and PRP. These are often done in a clinic setting.

An otoplasty, also known as ear reshaping is carried out by Professor Hindocha. This is one of his patients who always felt self-conscious of the shape of her ears and resorted to wearing her hair down to cover them most of the time. She was extremely happy with her final result and regained her confidence.
Another happy patient. Early after photos of a brachioplasty/arm lift.
I want to be 100% honest in my review in hopes it genuinely helps others who are researching HMG for their upcoming cosmetic surgery.
Prof Sandip Hindocha was born and brought up near the Saddleworth area and as a medical student and junior doctor contributed to the magazine with monthly medical articles. Years have passed and Sandip now works as a clinical director and consultant plastic surgeon in the NHS at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS trust and privately on Harley Street and beyond. Sandip would like to thank The Around Saddleworth Magazine, in particular Paula for her kind support over the years and especially for this upcoming charity event.
Prof Hindocha and a team from Bedford Hospital recently visited BGI. They taught students about surgery and all the different careers in the NHS (over 300!) as well as running some suturing workshops.

I am happy and grateful to have had Prof Sandip Hindocha as my appraiser for the last 3 years. Every appraisal was great, professional and yet relaxed and friendly. I am looking forward for my next appraisal with him.
I’ve wanted this done for a long time, the consultation was really helpful and I didn’t feel pressured at all. Mr. Hindocha was amazing before, during and after surgery. He got me the results I wanted!
Mr. Sandip Hindocha needs recommending massively because not only did he help with my surgery but also advised me on other health concerns to be mindful of post surgery, like protecting my scarring. This shows he’s a caring person, so when I go for my next procedure I will only have him!
Mr. Sandip Hindocha was excellent! After my first consultation with him, my mind was made up – this was the man I wanted to do my surgery. He informed me of absolutely everything and he has done an amazing job. I’m so happy with my belly now, words can’t even describe my feelings and I’m only 9 weeks post op!
Professional and gentle with a genuine concern for patient well being. I was consistently treated with patience, dignity and respect. At almost 5 weeks post op, I am almost fully healed, and whilst it hasn’t been the easiest or most comfortable 5 weeks of my life at no point have I felt unable to reach out.
