PRESERVE MORE. DISRUPT LESS.

Motiva Preserve Breast Augmentation

A minimally invasive breast augmentation that reshapes the breast while preserving your own tissue, sensation and long-term stability — performed by Prof. Sandip Hindocha, a consultant plastic surgeon certified by Motiva in the Preservé technique.

ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

The Preservé Difference

Motiva Preservé™ is a next-generation approach to breast augmentation. Rather than dividing the breast tissue and muscle to make room for an implant, the Preservé technique works with your anatomy — gently creating space while preserving the natural structure, strength and sensation of the breast.

It combines the soft, ergonomic SmoothSilk® Ergonomix2® implant with a set of purpose-built Motiva® instruments. Together they allow the implant to be placed through a smaller incision, with less disruption to the surrounding tissue — which for many patients means a more natural result and a more comfortable recovery.

Prof. Sandip Hindocha is a Motiva-certified Preservé surgeon and plans each augmentation around your individual anatomy and goals, from your first consultation through to long-term follow-up. See how Preservé compares to a traditional breast augmentation.

HOW PRESERVÉ WORKS

A Tissue-Preserving Technique

STEP ONE

Gentle Tunnelling

A purpose-built Motiva® Channel Separator creates the implant pocket by parting the tissue rather than cutting through it, protecting the surrounding structures.

STEP TWO

Controlled Tissue Elongation

A Motiva® Inflatable Balloon gently expands the space, encouraging your natural tissue to stretch and nest around the implant.

STEP THREE

Protected Implant Delivery

The implant is guided into place through a Motiva® Insertion Sleeve, allowing a smaller incision and a clean, no-touch delivery.

THE IMPLANT

SmoothSilk® Ergonomix2®

A soft, highly ergonomic implant designed to move and settle like natural breast tissue, completing the tissue-preserving approach.

PROCEDURE OVERVIEW

What to Expect

Day Case

Hospital Stay

Local or GA

Anaesthetic

2.5–3 cm

Typical Incision

1–2 Weeks

Time Off Work

6 Weeks

Support Bra

Details are typical and confirmed at your consultation. Because Preservé is less invasive than conventional augmentation, it can often be carried out under local anaesthetic with sedation, though general anaesthesia remains an option.

RECOVERY TIMELINE

Your Path to Recovery

First 48 Hours

Immediately After

Because less tissue is disturbed, discomfort is often milder than expected. You rest, keep the area supported and begin gentle movement early.

Week 1–2

Back to Light Routine

Many patients return to desk-based work within one to two weeks. Avoid heavy lifting and overhead reaching.

Weeks 2–4

Building Up

Everyday activity resumes as swelling settles. Keep wearing your support bra and follow Prof. Hindocha’s guidance.

Weeks 4–6

Full Activity

Most patients return to full exercise, including chest workouts, from around four to six weeks, once cleared at follow-up.

RESULTS

Results That Look — and Feel — Natural

Preservé is designed to deliver a result that feels like part of you, not simply an implant placed beneath the tissue. Most patients can expect:

  • A natural, proportionate increase in breast size and shape
  • A soft, natural feel from the SmoothSilk® Ergonomix2® implant
  • Preserved breast and nipple sensation through the tissue-sparing technique
  • A smaller, more discreet scar
  • Reliable long-term implant position and stability
  • A result tailored to your body by Prof. Hindocha

WHY CHOOSE PRESERVÉ

The Benefits of a Tissue-Preserving Approach

Preserves Your Own Tissue

By working around the breast rather than through it, Preservé keeps more of your natural tissue, fat and muscle intact.

Protects Sensation

The tissue-sparing approach is designed to preserve nipple and breast sensation, which conventional techniques can affect.

Smaller Scar, Faster Recovery

A smaller incision and less internal disruption often mean less bruising and a quicker return to everyday life.

Long-Term Confidence

Advanced Motiva® implant technology and warranty cover support a stable, lasting result.

IMPLANT TECHNOLOGY & LONGEVITY

PRESERVÉ VS TRADITIONAL AUGMENTATION

How Does Preservé Compare?

TISSUE

Preserved, Not Divided

Traditional augmentation often divides muscle and tissue to make space. Preservé parts and preserves the tissue, protecting structure and sensation.

ANAESTHETIC

Often Local, Not General

Conventional augmentation is usually performed under general anaesthetic. Preservé can often be carried out under local anaesthetic with sedation.

SCAR & RECOVERY

Smaller Scar, Quicker Return

The smaller incision and reduced disruption typically mean less downtime than a standard augmentation.

STABILITY

Strong Long-Term Position

By preserving the natural tissue envelope, the technique is designed to support reliable, stable implant position over time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about Motiva Preserve breast augmentation.

Preservé is a minimally invasive breast augmentation technique from Motiva. Instead of dividing the breast tissue and muscle, it uses purpose-built instruments to create space for the implant while preserving your natural tissue, structure and sensation.
A conventional augmentation usually divides tissue and muscle under general anaesthetic. Preservé preserves the tissue, can often use local anaesthetic with sedation, and typically involves a smaller scar and quicker recovery. Read the full comparison.
The technique is designed to protect the tissue and nerve pathways that carry sensation, which conventional augmentation can disturb. As with any surgery, changes in sensation are possible, and Prof. Hindocha will discuss this with you.
Because it is less invasive, Preservé can often be performed under local anaesthetic with sedation, so you avoid a general anaesthetic. The right option for you is agreed with Prof. Hindocha at consultation.
Many patients return to light, desk-based work within one to two weeks and to full exercise by around four to six weeks. See the full recovery guide.
The cost depends on your implants and treatment plan, which are confirmed after your consultation. Read more about what is involved and typical costs.
