A surgical technique done for reduction or reshaping of the labia minora, the inner vaginal lips. It is often done for cosmetic reasons, however patients opt for it for functional reasons as well.

Women with enlarged or asymmetrical labia, or those experiencing discomfort or self-consciousness due to the appearance of their labia, may benefit from labiaplasty. The procedure can also be performed to correct functional problems such as chafing, irritation, or discomfort during physical activity. The surgery involves reducing or reshaping the labia minora through an incision made in the area. Excess tissue is removed through this incision to create a more symmetrical appearance.
