About this
Service

Some people are born with puffy areolas, large areolas, or drooping nipples. The areolae and nipples can occasionally become malformed as a result of trauma, ageing, or nursing. Disproportionately large areolae can give breasts an unbalanced appearance. The nipple and areolar reduction procedure is performed to reduce their size for better aesthetic balance. If there is asymmetry, treating only one side can also give the desired result.

The procedure is very individualised since it must take into account the patient’s intended appearance as well as the patient’s natural breast size and shape in order to produce the most proportional result. For a few weeks, there will be some swelling, bruising, and numbness. Results are evident after a few months. It is a minimal scarring procedure.
