FULLER. SHAPELIER. NATURALLY YOU.
Precision breast augmentation using the latest implant technology — tailored to your anatomy, your goals and your lifestyle for a natural, proportionate result.
ABOUT THE SERVICE
Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure designed to increase the volume and improve the shape of the breasts. It is most commonly performed using silicone implants, though it can also be carried out using fat transfer — either alone or in combination with an implant.
The pre-operative decision-making process is critical to achieving a natural result. Prof. Hindocha will guide you through choices of implant type, size, shape and placement — each matched carefully to your body frame, breast tissue and aesthetic goals.
It is equally important to understand what having implants means in the long term: how to monitor them, when to seek advice, and the possibility that revisional surgery may be needed in future.
IMPLANT SELECTION
Every aspect of your implant — type, shape, size and placement — is decided together at consultation. Prof. Hindocha will guide you to the option that best matches your anatomy and goals.
Silicone gel implants are the most common choice, offering a natural look and feel. Fat transfer augmentation — using your own tissue — is also available for patients seeking a more subtle, implant-free increase.
Round and anatomical (teardrop) implants are available in multiple projection profiles. Prof. Hindocha matches implant dimensions precisely to your chest width, body frame and desired outcome.
Implants can be placed sub-glandular (above the muscle) or submuscular (below). Placement affects the appearance, recovery and long-term feel — chosen at consultation based on your anatomy.
PROCEDURE OVERVIEW
Breast augmentation is carried out under general anaesthesia as a day-case procedure. Most patients return home the same day and begin their recovery comfortably.

RECOVERY & AFTERCARE
WEEK 1–2
Post-op review appointments. Rest, keep the area dry and wear your supportive sports bra at all times. Swelling and tenderness are normal and expected.
WEEK 2–3
Return to desk-based and sedentary work. Continue wearing your supportive bra. Avoid lifting arms above shoulder height or carrying heavy items.
WEEK 4
Return to moderately physical work. Continue garment support. Avoid heavy lifting and strenuous upper body activity until cleared.
WEEK 6
Return to gym and all physical activity. Discontinue sports bra. Final results becoming clearly visible as swelling fully resolves.
YOUR OUTCOMES
Results become visible as post-operative swelling resolves over several weeks. Most patients notice a significant, natural-looking improvement in both volume and shape:
WHY TREAT
Achieve fuller, more proportionate breasts that complement your natural body frame and personal aesthetic.
When properly cared for, breast implants provide durable, stable results that endure through normal weight fluctuations and ageing.
Every aspect — implant type, size, shape and placement — is chosen specifically for your anatomy and goals. No two augmentations are the same.
For many patients, breast augmentation brings a significant boost in self-confidence and comfort in their own body.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Answers to the questions patients most commonly ask before booking their consultation with Prof. Hindocha.
Prof. Hindocha uses high-quality silicone gel implants from leading manufacturers. The specific type — round or anatomical, and the appropriate projection profile — is selected at consultation based on your anatomy and goals. Fat transfer augmentation is also available for suitable patients.
Modern breast implants are designed to be long-lasting, and many patients have no issues for 15 years or more. However, implants are not lifetime devices. Regular monitoring and occasional replacement surgery may be required over time. Prof. Hindocha will guide you on what to watch for.
Yes — and this is a common combination. If you have lost volume as well as breast projection, combining augmentation with a mastopexy (breast lift) can address both in a single operation. Prof. Hindocha will advise whether this is appropriate at consultation.
The most common incision site is along the inframammary fold (the natural crease under the breast), which leaves a discreet scar hidden in the fold. Other options include the periareolar (around the nipple) and transaxillary (armpit) approaches. Prof. Hindocha will recommend the most appropriate technique for your anatomy.
Most patients return to light desk-based work within 2–3 weeks and to all physical activity by 6 weeks. You will wear a supportive sports bra throughout recovery. Prof. Hindocha provides detailed, personalised aftercare guidance at each follow-up appointment.
Most patients retain the ability to breastfeed after breast augmentation. Incision placement and implant position are chosen with this in mind where relevant. If breastfeeding is a priority, please discuss this with Prof. Hindocha at your consultation so the plan can be tailored accordingly.
