CONFIDENCE RESTORED.
Expert male breast reduction surgery — combining liposuction and excision — to create a flatter, more masculine chest and restore the confidence that has been quietly holding you back.
UNDERSTANDING GYNAECOMASTIA
Gynaecomastia is the development of excess breast tissue, increased fatty deposits, or a combination of both in the male chest. It affects a significant number of men at some point in their lives and can cause considerable self-consciousness — shaping how a man dresses, exercises, socialises, and sees himself.
The condition can arise from hormonal changes during puberty, weight gain, medication side effects, or genetics. In many cases the tissue does not resolve on its own — and no amount of diet or exercise can remove glandular breast tissue. Surgery is the only definitive, permanent solution.
The procedure combines liposuction to remove excess fatty tissue and surgical excision to address glandular tissue, producing a flat, masculine chest contour. Professor Hindocha tailors the approach to each patient’s specific anatomy, addressing fat, gland, or a combination with precision and discretion.
THE PROCEDURE
A day-case procedure with no overnight stay and a swift, manageable recovery.
Surgery Time
Anaesthesia
Hospitalisation
Compression Garment
Return to Gym
The exact surgical approach — augmentation, reduction, lift or combination — is determined at consultation based on your individual anatomy and goals.
YOUR RECOVERY TIMELINE
Days 1–3
Wear the compression garment consistently and rest. Mild swelling and bruising is normal and expected. Most patients can return to light everyday activity within a few days of surgery.
Week 1–2
Return to light work is possible for most patients. Continue wearing the compression garment and follow aftercare guidance. Avoid any upper body exertion or lifting during this phase.
Week 3–4
Swelling reduces significantly and the flatter chest profile becomes increasingly apparent. The compression garment continues to support healing. Heavy lifting and chest training should still be avoided.
Week 6–8
The compression garment is discontinued. Gym, chest training, and strenuous physical work can fully resume. The final chest contour becomes completely apparent — and the result is yours to keep.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Gynaecomastia surgery consistently delivers one of the highest patient satisfaction rates in male cosmetic surgery. The difference extends far beyond appearance.
WHY CHOOSE SURGERY?
Exercise can reduce fat but cannot remove glandular breast tissue. Surgery is the only treatment that addresses both components permanently — producing a result that is definitive, not temporary.
Every case of gynaecomastia is different. Professor Hindocha assesses whether the primary issue is fatty tissue, glandular tissue, or both — and uses liposuction, excision, or a combination to achieve the best possible chest contour for your anatomy.
Most patients return to light work within a few days. A compression garment worn for up to 6 weeks supports healing and shapes the final result. Full gym and physical activity resumes at 6–8 weeks.
For many patients, gynaecomastia has shaped how they dress, swim, socialise, and engage in sport for years. The psychological impact of the correction is often described as more transformative than the physical change itself.
UNDERSTANDING THE CONDITION
Gynaecomastia is far more common than most people realise — and it is rarely the result of anything a man has done wrong. Understanding the cause helps explain why surgery is often the only path to a permanent result.
“
I had lived with this since my teens and it was affecting every part of my life. The surgery has been genuinely life-changing — I finally feel comfortable in my own body.
“
I spent years avoiding the gym, the pool, anything without a shirt. Within weeks of surgery all of that was behind me. I cannot recommend Professor Hindocha highly enough.
“
The procedure was straightforward and the recovery far quicker than I expected. The result is a completely flat chest and a level of confidence I honestly didn’t think was possible.
THE SURGICAL APPROACH
The technique used depends on the nature of your condition — fatty tissue, glandular tissue, or both.
TECHNIQUE 1
Used when the primary concern is excess fatty tissue. A small cannula is inserted through a discreet incision to remove fat from the chest area. Minimal scarring, excellent contour, and a swift recovery. Suitable for cases where glandular tissue is not the primary issue.
TECHNIQUE 2
Required when firm glandular breast tissue is present. An incision is made around the edge of the areola to directly remove the tissue. This is the only technique that achieves a permanent flat result when glandular tissue is involved — liposuction alone cannot address it.
TECHNIQUE 3
The most commonly performed approach. Liposuction removes the fatty component while excision addresses the underlying glandular tissue — together producing the flattest, most masculine result. Professor Hindocha determines the right combination during your consultation.

THE EMOTIONAL IMPACT
Gynaecomastia rarely affects only the chest. For many men, it shapes behaviour, self-esteem, and social engagement for years — sometimes decades. Avoiding the pool, wearing baggy clothing to hide the chest, skipping the gym, or feeling uncomfortable in intimate situations. These are experiences that many men share but few talk about openly.
For the vast majority of patients who undergo gynaecomastia surgery, the psychological impact of the result is described as more significant than the physical change itself. Professor Hindocha understands this and approaches every consultation with the discretion and sensitivity the condition deserves.
