TARGET. TREAT. TRANSFORM.

Laser

Clinically targeted light energy that treats a range of skin concerns — from fine lines and pigmentation to acne scars, vascular lesions, and thread veins — with precision that topical treatments cannot match.

ABOUT LASER TREATMENT

Precision Energy. Measurable Skin Change.

Laser treatments work by delivering focused light energy into the skin at precisely calibrated wavelengths. Different wavelengths target different chromophores — water, melanin, or haemoglobin — allowing the laser to selectively address pigmentation, surface texture, vascular irregularities, or deeper structural skin changes without affecting the surrounding healthy tissue.

The heat generated by absorbed laser energy creates a controlled micro-injury in the target area. The body's healing response then takes over: collagen production is stimulated, damaged cells are replaced, and the skin's structure is remodelled over the weeks that follow.

Prof. Hindocha's practice offers laser as part of a comprehensive non-surgical skin portfolio. Treatment selection is based on a thorough skin assessment, ensuring the correct laser type and parameters are chosen for your specific concern and skin type.

WHAT LASER CAN TREAT

One Technology. Multiple Skin Conditions.

Different laser wavelengths and parameters allow targeted treatment of distinct skin conditions. The right laser for your concern is selected at consultation based on your skin type and treatment goals.

SKIN REJUVENATION

Fine Lines & Surface Renewal

Stimulates new collagen to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and rough skin texture while improving overall tone and radiance. Results build progressively with each session in the course.

SUN DAMAGE & PIGMENTATION

Age Spots & Uneven Tone

Targets melanin in age spots, solar lentigines, and areas of uneven pigmentation. The laser energy breaks down the pigment, which the body then naturally clears over 7–14 days.

ACNE SCARRING

Textural Scarring & Marks

Fractional laser energy remodels the fibrous scar tissue beneath the skin surface, progressively improving texture, tone, and the visibility of post-acne marks over a treatment course.

VASCULAR LESIONS

Thread Veins & Vascular Marks

Targets haemoglobin in thread veins, spider naevi, rosacea, and vascular marks. The laser collapses the vessel wall, which the body naturally absorbs — often clearing in one to two sessions.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

Your Skin's Healing Timeline

Day of Treatment

Warmth & Redness

The treated area will feel warm and appear flushed — similar to mild sunburn. This is a normal response. Apply prescribed soothing products, keep the area cool, and avoid sun exposure entirely from this point forward.

Days 1–3

Settling Response

Redness and mild swelling continue to subside. Some patients experience minor crusting or flaking, particularly following pigmentation and vascular treatments. Continue gentle cleansing and apply the prescribed aftercare products as directed.

Days 4–10

Skin Clearing

The skin looks progressively clearer as treated lesions and pigmentation break down and the body naturally clears the debris. Residual redness fades by day 7 in most cases. Collagen remodelling is underway beneath the surface.

Week 2–4

Results Developing

Progressive improvement becomes visible as collagen production and tissue remodelling continue. A review appointment at 2–4 weeks assesses the response and determines whether further sessions are recommended.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Clearer. Tighter. More Evenly Toned.

Laser outcomes depend on the condition treated and the number of sessions completed. For pigmentation and vascular lesions, visible clearance often begins within days. For skin rejuvenation and collagen-driven changes, results develop progressively over 3–6 months following a course of treatment.

  • Reduced visibility of fine lines, superficial wrinkles, and skin laxity
  • Clearance or significant reduction of age spots, pigmentation, and sun damage
  • Improved acne scar texture and reduction in post-inflammatory marks
  • Targeted clearance of thread veins, vascular lesions, and spider naevi
  • Overall improvement in skin quality, tone, and radiance with each treatment cycle

WHY PATIENTS CHOOSE LASER

The Advantages of Laser Treatment

Precision Targeting

Laser energy targets specific skin structures without affecting the surrounding tissue. This precision allows treatment of individual lesions, defined pigmentation areas, or vascular irregularities with minimal effect on the healthy skin around them.

Treats Multiple Concerns

A single treatment modality addresses a wide range of concerns — from surface pigmentation and fine lines to structural skin changes and vascular conditions. This versatility makes laser a cornerstone of a comprehensive skin management plan.

Stimulates Natural Renewal

By triggering the body's own healing and collagen production process, laser treatment produces improvements that compound over time. Results are not temporary corrections — they reflect genuine structural change in the skin itself.

Cumulative Results

Each session builds on the last. Most skin rejuvenation programmes involve a course of treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with results progressively improving as collagen remodelling accumulates between appointments.

THE MECHANISM

How Laser Treatment Works

01

Focused Light Energy

A calibrated laser beam targets the treatment area with precision. The wavelength is selected to match the specific chromophore in the skin — water, melanin, or haemoglobin — ensuring energy is absorbed by the target tissue and not the surrounding healthy skin.

02

Controlled Thermal Injury

The absorbed energy creates a controlled micro-zone of heating in the target tissue. This disrupts the old or damaged structure while leaving adjacent healthy skin intact — triggering the body's natural wound-healing cascade.

03

Collagen Remodelling

As the healing response unfolds over weeks and months, fibroblasts lay down new collagen and elastin fibres. Skin tightens, texture improves, and pigmentation clears — results that continue to develop for up to 6 months after treatment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common Questions About Laser Treatment

Honest answers to what we hear most often.

Most patients describe the sensation as a brief snap or warmth with each pulse — similar to a rubber band on the skin. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand and cooling is used during treatment. Tolerance varies by laser type and the area being treated.
This depends on the condition. Vascular lesions and discrete pigmentation spots often resolve in 1–2 sessions. Skin rejuvenation and acne scarring typically require a course of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart for optimal collagen remodelling.
Laser suitability varies significantly with Fitzpatrick skin type. Certain wavelengths carry a risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation on darker skin tones and require specialist assessment. Your skin tone is always assessed at consultation before any treatment is recommended.
For vascular and pigmentation treatments, improvement is often visible within 7–14 days as the body clears treated tissue. For skin rejuvenation, results develop progressively over 3–6 months as new collagen matures. Your follow-up at 2–4 weeks reviews the early response.
Yes — sun avoidance is essential. Recently sun-exposed skin increases the risk of pigmentation complications. Following treatment, SPF50 sunscreen is mandatory as new skin is particularly sensitive to UV. Your team will give specific advice based on the treatment you have received.
Yes. Laser is commonly combined with chemical peels, PRP, and Profhilo for a comprehensive skin improvement programme. The combination and sequencing of treatments is planned at consultation to ensure each approach complements the others without overlap in recovery periods.
