SMOOTH CONTOURS. TONED RESULTS.
Remove excess skin and fat from the thighs for a smoother, more toned silhouette.
ABOUT THIS SERVICE
People with loose or saggy skin in the thigh — particularly after significant weight loss — may benefit significantly from a thigh lift. The surgery involves removing excess skin and fat from the thigh through an incision in the inner thigh or groin, typically hidden by underwear or swimwear.
The scar length will depend on the extent of skin and fat removal needed. The remaining skin is carefully tightened to create a smoother, more toned appearance. In some cases, liposuction may also be used to remove excess fat alongside the skin removal.
The results of a thigh lift can be long-lasting when a healthy lifestyle is maintained, offering patients renewed confidence in their body contour.
AFTER YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY
After losing a significant amount of weight, many patients are left with loose, excess skin on the inner thighs that cannot be tightened through exercise alone. A thigh lift is designed specifically for this situation — removing the surplus skin and reshaping the thigh to complement your new physique.
Prof. Hindocha recommends waiting until your weight has been stable for at least six months before undergoing a thigh lift, to ensure optimal and lasting results.

RECOVERY TIMELINE
Week 1
Your surgeon will review your recovery and check the incision site at your first post-discharge appointment.
Weeks 1–2
Most patients can return to desk-based or light activities within 1–2 weeks of discharge.
Weeks 2–4
Moderately heavy physical work can typically resume between 2 and 4 weeks after discharge.
Weeks 4–6
Heavy physical work and exercise may resume. Continue wearing your compression stocking until week 6 as advised.
SCARRING & HEALING
Thigh lift incisions are carefully positioned and evolve significantly over time.
WEEKS 1–6
The scar will appear red and slightly raised as the wound heals. Keep the area clean and avoid direct sun exposure. Follow all dressing and garment instructions provided.
MONTHS 2–6
The scar begins to soften and flatten. Silicone scar sheets or gels may be recommended to assist maturation. Continue to protect the area from UV exposure.
MONTHS 12–18
By 12–18 months, the scar has typically matured to a pale, flat line in the inner thigh or groin crease — discreetly hidden by underwear and swimwear.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
A thigh lift can dramatically improve the contour and tone of the inner thighs, helping you feel confident in clothing and swimwear.
WHY CHOOSE THIS
Excess skin and fat accumulated after weight loss or ageing is surgically removed, creating a cleaner, more defined thigh profile.
The remaining skin is carefully tightened and repositioned to produce a firmer, more toned appearance across the inner thigh.
Incisions are placed in the inner thigh or groin, designed to be concealed by underwear or swimwear for minimal visible scarring.
With a healthy lifestyle, the results of a thigh lift are long-lasting — giving you sustained confidence in your body contour.
